We have zoo passes compliments of Grandmother and PawPaw so we frequently go there to walk around. Ben loves looking at the animals and riding the train.
Ben in his preferred mode of transportation at the zoo.
Riding the train with daddy.
Riding the carousel with Mommy.
Waiting for her brother to get off the carousel.
My favorite the naked mole rats.
The Menkhaus Family has a new pet. He is a Netherland dwarf rabbit. We got him a few weeks ago and he has warmed right up to life in our crazy house. He still doesn't have a name because we can't seem to find one that fits. Ben loves to feed him every morning and every night.
Belly time :)
He is a curious little bunny.
Hanging out in her pack n play at the Flea Market yesterday.
What great pictures! I was so happy to get a chance to see you and Matt and your beautiful babies last week at Will's wedding....what a blessing!
ReplyDeleteYou got a bunny! Where did you get it? Derek and I are considering getting one; we had bunnies as kids and think the kids would LOVE them. (We'll get a dog eventually but want to wait until they're older.) How do you like it? How do the kids like it?
ReplyDeleteCarrie, we got it from a girl on craigslist. I looked at the pet stores and lots of them have them, but this one was cheaper and it was a girl who does 4H I think. She also was able to show it was a purebred so that was nice. A lot of times the pet store ones are mixed. Anyway, Ben loves him. We keep him in the kitchen area and he feeds him everyday and pets him. We had bunnies as kids and it was hit or miss when it came to their personalities. This one seems pretty smart and has gotten really used to us. He comes right up to us and lets Ben pick him up without scratching. I had rabbits in the past that were not nice. Our mini lop was mean! But the dwarfs seem nice. I heard Rexs are the best. They are smart and friendly.
ReplyDeleteI might add...I really want my kids to learn to be responsible and take care of things. So, it is nice to start Ben so young on learning how to treat animals and take care of them. He is only a year and half but he is already learning that.
